RENTAL AGREEMENT
Kon/nos Chr. Ploios Car & Bike Rental Company hereby rents to the undersigned Renter the Vehicle, as described herein (including any replacement vehicle) subject to the hereinafter terms and conditions as well as those included on the front side hereof.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
Renter has received the Vehicle examined and found it to be in complete satisfaction, in perfect condition, and appropriate for the purposes he rents it. Renter shall return the Vehicle and all documents, tools and accessories which accompany it to the company's employees at the location and on the date designated in this agreement. If Renter wishes to extend the rental period, he has to inform the company 24 hours prior to the expiration of the agreed rental period in writing. If Renter returns the Vehicle to any other location than the company office there will be a minimum extra charge of 24 €. When this grace period is waived at the sole discretion of the company.
The company reserves the right to terminate this agreement upon violation of any of its terms and reclaim the Vehicle at any time at Renter's expense. The company reserves the right (this right is non-exclusive) to terminate this agreement if Renter does not return the Vehicle at the designated time.
If Renter fails to return the Vehicle within six hours of the agreed return time, the company may file a theft complaint with the competent authorities.
In the case of scooter/motorbike rental, the renter confirms that the condition of the scooter/motorbike is visually and technically in good order. Complaints must be made in writing at the time of rental. Later complaints may not be accepted. The scooter/motorbike must be returned in the same condition as rented.
THEFT, DAMAGE etc.
Renter is responsible for rental or replacement parts due to total or partial loss or damage of the Vehicle, and for damages defined by the company. This includes compensation for total damage, loss of use, diminished value, towing, storage, impound fees, and all administrative or legal fees.
If during an accident the Renter accepts responsibility, they will be liable for all damage. If the Renter is not responsible, they must submit a Police Report and Company Accident Report within 24 hours; otherwise, the Renter will be held responsible for the total cost.
Vehicles are covered by a basic insurance plan (T.P.I. – third party insurance). The company is not liable for loss or damage of the Renter’s property.
Optional coverage
CDW - Collision Damage Waiver (limits renter’s liability to a deductible amount for collision damage)
TP - Theft Protection Waiver (limits renter’s liability to a deductible amount for theft)
SCDW - Super Collision Damage Waiver (limits renter’s liability further to the deductible on the front page of the agreement)
CDW, TP, and SCDW do not cover damage to the underside, tires, wheels, interior, off-road driving, intentional collisions, driving under the influence, or breaches of traffic law.
For scooters/motorbikes, in case of any damage, the renter must immobilize the vehicle and inform the rental station immediately. If the renter is responsible, they must cover the full cost of the damage, plus the rental loss for the duration of repair.
CHARGES
Renter shall pay the company at the end of the rental period unless otherwise agreed: The daily rental charge per kilometer covered, Charges for optional insurance coverage (TP, CDW, SCDW), Refueling costs, Extras (baby seats, chains, maps), Traffic fines or penalties, Ferry charges, VAT on the total amount.
CANCELALTION POLICY
In case of cancellation up to 72 hours before the rental start date, you are entitled to a full refund (100%).
For cancellations made within 24 hours of the rental start date, 50% of the rental amount will be refunded.
For any cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental or in case of no-show, no refund will be issued.
TERMS OF USE
The Vehicle is prohibited from
Towing or transporting goods or passengers for hire
Being used in races or on rough, coastal, sandy, or muddy terrain
Being driven by unauthorized persons
Being driven under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances
Transporting explosives or illegal substances
Violation of any of the above allows the company to terminate the agreement without refund.
Scooters/motorbikes must not be driven on dirt roads, sandy areas, or surfaces likely to cause damage. No other person besides the renter is allowed to ride the scooter/motorbike. The renter is not allowed to operate the scooter/motorbike under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or narcotics. If more than two people are transported on a scooter/motorbike, the renter will be fined more than 300 EUR and the company may terminate the agreement.
It is strictly prohibited to transport more than two scooters/motorbikes by ship.
FINES
Renter is responsible for paying all fines and penalties for traffic violations during the rental period. For scooters/motorbikes, the renter is also liable for the replacement cost of registration plates if lost due to violations.
INDEMNITY
The company is not responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the Renter or third parties.
ACCIDENTS
In case of accident, fire, or theft, the Renter must immediately notify both the company and the police. Failure to do so results in full liability for damages.
INSURANCE
Renter and any authorized driver are covered for damage to third parties (excluding the driver). Insurance becomes void in the case of violation of the rental terms.
If damage or theft occurs and the Renter has not opted for CDW/TP/SCDW, they are responsible for the full amount.
PERSONAL DATA
Renter consents to the storage and use of personal data. This data may be shared with authorities if terms are violated.
APPLICABLE LAW
This agreement is governed by Greek law. Disputes will be resolved in Athens, Greece.
VEHICLE DAMAGE
It is the customer's responsibility to inspect the vehicle before rental. Damages to the underside, tires, and roof are not covered by insurance.
JURISDICTION
This agreement is governed by Greek law. Disputes between the company and the Renter fall under the jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens, Greece.
